about the practice
Rodrigue Counseling Services, LLC was established in 2022 to support children, teens, and families in Morgan City, LA and its surrounding areas. The practice was created as a calm, welcoming space where children and families can take a breath and begin to sort through life’s challenges together.
Childhood comes with big feelings, friendship ups and downs, school stress, family changes, and moments that can feel overwhelming — for kids and parents alike. Therapy here is meant to feel safe, steady, and supportive. It’s a place where children can learn new coping skills, build confidence, and feel understood — maybe even leaving with a small smile along the way.
While the atmosphere is warm and creative, the work is thoughtful and intentional. I use structured, evidence-based approaches tailored to each child’s developmental needs, helping them strengthen emotional regulation, communication skills, and resilience in ways that carry beyond the therapy room.
Parents are an important part of the process. My goal is to partner with you, offering practical tools and steady guidance so growth continues at home and in everyday life.
meet your counselor
Hi, I’m Viki — your friendly neighborhood counselor specializing in children and adolescents in Southeast Louisiana.
I help kids and teens build healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and feel more confident navigating friendships, school challenges, and BIG feelings.
If your child is having frequent meltdowns, getting in trouble at school, struggling socially, or just needs a safe space to talk, you’re not alone. Many families feel overwhelmed before reaching out. My role is to help your child feel understood — and to help you feel more confident supporting them at home.
Through structured, evidence-based approaches tailored to your child’s developmental level, I create a space that is both engaging and therapeutic. Therapy can feel approachable and creative while still being intentional and goal-oriented.
credentials + qualifications
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nicholls State University in 2015 and have worked with children and families since that time. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Louisiana and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I regularly pursue continuing education in trauma-informed care, child development, and evidence-based interventions to ensure children, adolescents, and families receive high-quality, up-to-date treatment.
